Redcare Seeks Better Community Health Insurance with New Technologies

Redcare Health Services, a Health Management Organisation (HMO) has announced plans to deploy new technologies that will ease communications and service delivery between health service providers and community members as a way of improving access to Health Insurance across the country.
This, as disclosed by the HMO's managing director, Babatunde Salako, recently would rely on investments in their new office building, Information Technology systems, integrated telephone and call centre services as well as technical and professional staff team.
Adeola also noted that their effort would help in ensuring that more Nigerians are saved needless deaths because of their inability to pay for health services.
Speaking during the unveiling of the firm's new office complex in Lagos, Salako said, "Since the establishment of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) under Act 35 of 1999 by the Obasanjo administration, I have observed that the Health Insurance Business has grown tremendously throughout the country and have been embraced by not only those that were initially skeptical about it, but also by public institutions, private individuals as well as corporate entities."
"I am also excited that the Insurance Scheme has also been brought to the rural communities. We are committed to pursuing excellence in healthcare service delivery and pioneering the use of technology for health care management in Nigeria," he added.
Redcare's Managing Director, Dr. Babatunde Salako, who threw more light on the use of technology to advance access to health services through health insurance as being employed by the HMO said, "Our strategic vision of impacting the communities we serve as the preferred HMO to enrollees, hospitals and partner organisations underpin all we do as a HMO within the community.
"We are very well positioned to partner with the National Health Insurance Service for the provision of universal health coverage for all under the government agenda for healthcare in the country."
