Asseco signs major contracts in the banking and insurance sectors in Nigeria

Asseco Software Nigeria (ASN), a company of the Asseco Group, has signed two contracts in the banking and insurance sector in Nigeria. These orders will be executed in cooperation with Asseco Poland and Asseco Central Europe - said Simon Melchior, CEO, Asseco Software Nigeria. 
"This is another step towards strengthening the presence of the group on the African market. Africa is a strategic direction of development of the Asseco Group" - said the head of the Nigerian company.
The first project will be implemented for Access Bank, one of the five largest banks in Nigeria. Under the agreement with ASN Asseco Poland will implement Swift Confirmation Matching Module - part of the solution def3000 / Treasury. Estimated completion date is the third quarter in 2016.
The second contract was signed with Wapic Insurance, which is one of the leading insurance companies in Nigeria. Asseco Software Nigeria and Asseco Central Europe will implement a solution StarINS. It is core insurance system, belonging to the Slovak company. Anticipated completion date of the agreement is the second quarter of 2017.
Implementation in Wapic Insurance will be another contract, implemented for the insurance sector in Nigeria. In June 2015, ASN signed an agreement with Zenith Insurance, which is also one of the leaders in that market. Under the agreement, ASN implements its own solution called Asira, dedicated to the service life policies. The project has already gone live.
